I can't afford to send my test scores!

After high school, I made a couple of bad decisions and dealt with a number of family problems that led to me dropping out of school. Now, a year later, I’ve decided to get my life back on track and apply to a local university. My scores and GPA are good, and I know I can get in once I submit all of my documents.

However, I work for just above minimum wage, and sometimes I can barely afford rent and groceries. When I went to send in my SAT scores, then, I was shocked that I would have to spend almost fifty dollars. At the moment, I definitely can’t afford that, at least not without compromising my own health, job, or living space in some way. Is there any chance that I could get a fee waiver when I’ve been out of high school for a year, or any way that I could decrease the price?

Thank you very much.

EDIT: I’ve looked at a couple threads along these lines, and while I haven’t found a solution, I figured I’d knock a few questions out of the way. I received a fee waiver for the application itself, as my father works there, but no, my parents are not supporting me. I know that fifty dollars is a very minor amount, but as somebody who already runs out of money between pay periods just keeping up with food, gas, etc., I don’t know how I can spend it.

SAT is run by the College Board and they are the ones who make waiver policy.

Did you have a waiver when you took it? If so then you may have some 4 flexible score reports still available.

@BrownParent Thank you! I skimmed those pages earlier, but my scores are now archived, so I don’t believe it applies.
