I can't afford tuition!

<p>Hey guys, this is my first time posting here so please go easy on me.</p>

<p>Anyway, I'm in my 2nd year of college and I'm going for an associates to eventually join the NYPD.
Anyway, my family makes too much money for me to get financial aid so, my aunt has been paying it until now. She said she can no longer afford to pay my tuition. </p>

<p>I feel like I have no other options, what happens if I don't get financial aid when I apply for Spring semester? What do I do?? I was never really keen on school work so I'm having an extremely difficult time. Please help.</p>

<p>(My parents recently got divorced and I'm living with my mother and siblings, she makes less. I'm praying that I can get financial aid so I can continue my education.)</p>

<p>Have you even applied for aid? Whatever your parents make, you are eligible for loans in your own name. They are limited ($5500 for a freshman, $6500 for a sophomore), but should cover tuition at a CC.</p>

<p>Did you file the FAFSA for this school year? Were you eligible for TAP? Minimally, you will have to file the FAFSA in order to get a Stafford loan.</p>

<p>Are you attending community college at CUNY? If yes, I agree with SCM, you would be eligible for a Stafford loan that would cover your tuition at community college ($3600/YEAR)</p>
