<p>I'm going for a major in MechE. This is my status as of now and I have no idea what to do. To be honest I'm looking for prestige and academic strength more than anything and you guys are probably the best people to ask.
Money isn't a matter as I will be getting a full scholarship from my government.
Help?</p>

<p>With the list you have now and the major you want I’d choose G. Tech. If you get into McGill (which I expect you will) I would choose that.</p>

Ranking wise McGill is inferior to GT…</p>

<p>How safe is the city of Atlanta? How’s walking around downtown during the day?</p>

<p>I would choose Georgia Tech based on what you have available now. Atlanta is fine.</p>
