I can't help but worry. Some UCs sent out round 1 of acceptances last week.

UC Irvine and UC Riverside both sent out their first rounds of acceptances last week. Half of the people I've talked to who have been accepted were not guaranteed acceptance under the ELC program (I am not ELC) and many guaranteed students have not received their final notices.

I guess it's just the stress of waiting getting to me (Irvine is my fourth or fifth choice school and I didn't even apply to Riverside!) but I can't help but worry about how people are chosen and in what order. It's not alphabetical, it's not by class rank or GPA, it's not based on what TIME you sent in your application, so what is it? How do colleges decide who they are going to accept first?

And is anyone else having these worries? Not specifically with UCs, but in general maybe? Similar worries?
