I can't stand college, but I've applied to two transfer schools already.

Currently, I’m a sophomore at my local NY community college, and it’s exhausting. I’m a business administration major, I’m in the honors program, and I have a 3.2 cumulative GPA. I don’t like any of my classes except marketing, and calculus is making me miserable. After I finish a summer course for bio, I’ll have two choices: transfer to a school in FL or start working immediately. I’m researching white-collar apprenticeship programs but I need to keep looking. I committed to transferring, but college work is grueling. Should I earn my associate’s and start working or continue with school?

Are you working in addition to taking classes at a community college? Do you know what you want to major in?

A four year university is not going to be any easier than community college. Whether it is about the same, a little bit harder, or a lot harder is going to depend upon a lot of issues including where you go to university.

If you were to finish your AA degree and then start working, you would still have the option of returning to university in the future. In my experience university is a lot more interesting when you know why you are there – which can sometimes happen after working for a year or two.
