I can't stop

Spending money on my mom's credit card, I just recently bought a PS2, 7 games, a few old Hot Wheel collectibles, and a PS3. She knows I'm doing it, and this isn't the first time either.

She has the money too, though I'm not using that as a justification, and she has never punished me for it either. Also sometimes I ask to see her bank statements (too see the amount of my purchases), and I see her frequently buying hundreds of dollars on clothes, which I guess sets me off.

I'm freaked, because I probably won't be able to handle a credit card of my own. Does this make me a bad person?

Hot wheels?

Not being able to control money doesn’t make you a bad person, its just a bad habit. If your mom knows about it, then its fine…

With great power (spending) comes great responsibility ;)

You’re not the only person who has spent a lot of money on a credit card. Although, I do think you should try to cut down on your habits. When you end up paying for your own expenses, you’ll know why

^^She knows about it, she’s not too happy about it, but I’ve never received any real punishment, other than a “you gotta stop”.

No, it just means you don’t understand the value and concept of money, namely the fact that there is only a finite amount of it.

Old hot wheels?

Why do you have her credit card anyway? I understand that she may be financially stable, but still. Anytime I want something I just ask for cash, most of the time though my family never has cash on-hand (we’re the types that only use debit) so they just go with me. If I’m going out without them, then I definitely get cash.

Start paying for everything in cash.

$500 looks like a lot when you’re unraveling each bill individually.

Only use cash.

Hmm… I’d say if you are spending you mom’s money even though she told you not to, then that is bad.

…wth? you bought a ps2 AND a ps3? ***?
