I Changed my Spring Semester Courses -- A Problem for Admittance?

One of the admission requirements for UC Berkeley is to “complete all UC transferable courses that were self-reported.”

The problem here is that my actual Spring course schedule is different than what I submitted. Specifically, one course filled up before I could enroll, and another I swapped out after the first week. That said,

(1) I will still meet the transferable credit requirements.

(2) Berkeley should know that I changed my courses, since UCLA asked for an updated Spring course schedule, and to my knowledge my response was sent to all the UC’s.

(3) I can’t see how courses I hadn’t yet taken would have influenced the admission committee’s decision.

(4) I can’t possibly be the only person in this situation. Changing courses a week or two into the semester is not uncommon as far as I know.

Thus, I don’t believe this should matter. Nonetheless, until I can speak to the admissions office on Monday, I am bound to worry about whether this compromises my acceptance.

So, do I have a legitimate reason to worry, or will it not matter as I have presumed?

What date did you update your spring course?Did you update it on the general UC application?

I updated my courses on April 5th. I was emailed and provided a link through which to respond and upload documents. The email confirmation I received said,

“Your message response and attachments have been received and added to your UC application record.”

So, I believe the information was added to all my UC applications, which is also what was indicated by the UC admissions when I spoke to them a day after.

I see April 5 was kinda late though I thought you were talking about the January update.Still I believe Berkeley already knew about it already so you should be fine. You can go to your UC Application site and check your record there
