Am I stupid for giving up UTx and UTN for so much cheaper?

Pitt (scholarship=full tuition)
Ohio Wesleyan (scholarship=full tuition)
Vanderbilt (16k scholarship)
Case Western (25k scholarship)
UVa
Duke Waitlist
WashU waitlist

have to say though, it was one hard decision.

Over Yale, Duke, WashU, Emory, and UT-PlanII

Just sent my reply card today-hard decision, but it came down to cost...being mid class and all -.-;

But still excited!

lol... vry contrary to your screenname, ur decision was

over Duke with equal finaid.... go OWLS!!!

Over UT Plan II, Brown, Northwestern, and U Chicago.

yea a lot of it was based on $$, but I'm still really happy about my decision

Rice over MIT, Cornell, and UT Plan II.

do most people applying to Rice aply to UTA? Im like prolly tyhe only one who didnt...

I chose Rice over UT, Bowdoin, Pomona, UCLA, UCSD, Haverford, and UCM.

lol Antarius. I'm from OoS and I even applied to UTxAustin :)

my friend from Chennai, India applied to UTA and Rice too and is going to the former... looks like I am one rare case... :D

anyone who applied to Rice but NOT UTA?

i applied to rice, but not ut. fl is better than ut so if i wanted to go to a big public school, id just go to gainsville with every other kid from FL

haha... i didn't have that option... UF didn't accept me.

i didn't apply for UT.. though i started the application

I didn't apply to UT either but I did do half of the application. Hahahahahaha. I eventually ended up turing down all of the state Alaska schools that offered me full ride. Also turned down Tulane. Didn't apply anywhere else because I did Rice ED.

ED is so convienient...
Pity.. aid was an issue, couldnt risk it

I didn't apply to UT. Then again, I'm an oos northerner. hehe

i chose rice over nyu, cornell, vanderbilt, and baylor.

i never applied to uta. almost everyone in my senior class did. it's a party school and you're just a number there. and if you're from texas everyone in the top 10% of their graduating class gets in so it's a breeze getting in.

a waste going there, if you ask me.
