I messed up on my FAFSA and clicked “blank” on whether or not I wanted to have work study or not so this year, it doesn’t show up on my FAFSA. I just re-submitted my FAFSA and changed the preference, but i don’t know if it will be accepted. I go to UCI, can anyone help me please?? I have my job and everything from the previous year, but I will not be offered the position again if I am not a work study student.
Contact the UCI FA office this week and find out if they’ve added it. You should have priority with a present WS job.
You need to contact the college. There is no way we can answer this question. Call the financial,aid office.
It is possible you didn’t qualify for work study anyway. Federal work study has limited funds per campus, and is awarded to lower income students on a first come first served basis. If your family income even went up a tad, or you filed later in the queue…you might not have gotten it anyway.
But do call financial aid and inquire.
