i did something to my mom in my past life, and she seeks her revenge now

my mom just got me 4 review books for SAT II physics because i got a 770 on it, and she said i had better this study this summer to get an 800 in october. as a rising junior who took ap physics in 10th grade, i get no leeway..

oh, and to make matters more lovely, she's also signing me up for SAT classes

no joke, no lies. my mom's getting revenge on me for something i did to her in my past life

Yeah, that's what you get for doing it wrong.

Back in the day, you would get a whooping for a similar offense. You better thank the deity you worship and get to work.

haah, funny

i'd like for you to spend a day with my mom (:

Trust me, it's an advantage. My mom questioned me every time I spent my own money on prep books. Then, when I was practicing for the tests, she would ask why I was shut up in my room for so long. Then she'd randomly ask me to go fold towels in the middle of an intense ACT Science prep session. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

I gotta agree with JB. No matter how many times I tell them my parents STILL don't know what AP is. :( Isn't a 770 good though...sat subjects are out of 800, right?

Four review books? Isn't that a little much? Gah. Your mom is scary.

^^ It's not the four book part that's scary—it's the fact that she got them because he got only a 770.

your best bet is to GET a 800. asian moms don't take 770's in physics. Never.

(lmao what my friend told me)

I'm Asian, and when I lamented, "damn, I got a 650 in Physics!" my mother looked over and said, "Oh. Okay."

haha

my mom wants me to get an 800 because she wants me to compete with my cousins

thats right, not just friends, but COUSINS also. she's not good at promoting family unity..

i'll try to think of her evi-- constant pushing as something to be grateful of then. key word is try though, i can't guarantee anything, haha

yea i'd be thankful if my mom signed me up for SAT classes.

haha woww..

i'll admit my mom doesn't know much about scores, but she knows enough to say, "i want 800, that's it"

always getting an 800 isn't even slightly possible. she'll have to get used to me getting lower...

4 review books for a 770...hmm
ur mom's crazy

How do you feel about this? Is it bothering you, or are you shrugging it off??

And what's going to happen if you're not accepted at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT and Stanford?? (And you won't be.)

well, i can say i like your username VeryHappy, but not your attitude

i feel bothered, obviously, but in essence i'm sort of used to it. i had leg surgery a few days before the SAT II, so that was a little interference. to be honest though, i don't need the 4 review books. i just need to review more, and i hope then i'll be fine

and who said i'm aiming for HPYSM? (:

my friend is asian and she got a 35 on the act, her mom made her take it again.
i find that disturbing.

gosh, i hope he/she got a 36 on his/her final try

i would scream if my mom did that

If I were a woman, I would be mad that I had to shove you out if my vagina (I don't know if I am allowed to say that...)

You didn't get bleeped.

Lmao, profanity FTW!
