Lol, my mom is the opposite. She emailed me at camp saying "congrats on your SAT score" but when i looked it was like >O

I don't really think "vagina" is considered profanity.

lol my parents are the same, feel for ya man
got a 145.5/ 150 on the amc, and then the next day my parents order like ten books and lecture me on how i need to prepare better for next year D:

Omg. I am so glad I live with my white grandparents instead of the Asian ones... Well, if I lived with the Asians ones, it would be in the Philipines, and yeah, that would suck.

huh? what the heck does vagina and getting beeped have to do with ANYTHING...lool

i'll admit that i'm slightly evil when i say this, but when we have family gatherings, my mom brags about me and i feel superior to my cousins

is that such a bad feeling? i hardly ever feel superior to anyone..but i don't think it's good for family relationships...=

again, i would scream databox if i went through that, especially since amc is for selective students

^ no, be the dominant one, in relationships, someone is always dominant and someone is always submissive. Dominate them

that sounded slightly sexual, lool..

but besides that, i know what you mean, but im overall humble anyway. i mean success doesn't last forever, so it's better to be humble and not face a huge crash when you don't succeed, than to be proud and then be mocked at when you do fail, right? (that's really not the reason i decide to be humble though, honest)

talk about a stereotypical asian mom...

lol, yeah i felt like doing that too, but whatever, i guess your parents try to do what's best for you, asian parents just a "little bit" overboard with that notion

yeah, if i think about it, i think i'm gonna be hard on my children too.

"but when we have family gatherings, my mom brags about me and i feel superior to my cousins"

I bet you a hundred dollars that you're "adversary" is forced to study by you're aunt. Essentially, to beat you. I bet their all studying to be "better" than you. Thats just what the asian community is all about.

screw life.

i'm sure it happens too, but they'll have to try harder (jk, lol)

dudee, stop being so depressed!

"but when we have family gatherings, my mom brags about me and i feel superior to my cousins"

LOL
asian parents -_- they're awesome aren't they. but hey, at least they love you.

no, they don't love me. they love the of me being a rich doctor in the future.

rich azz mofo!

I understand how you feel. My mom started buying random SAT books after that Duke TIP test (7th grade :-( ). Up to date, she's bought about 9. Up to date, the ones that I have opened: 1 (Did about 4 chapters and stopped).

That wasn't the smartest thing to do, I'll admit. If I had looked through them, I would have done a whole lot better on the SAT.

피고내요, 시발!!

Korean profanity is still profanity, AOM.

wow artof_mind21, way to rip out the hangul, lol

"but when we have family gatherings, my mom brags about me and i feel superior to my cousins"

^Lol soooooo true. Then they start one upping each other until one of them says "as long as he gets into harvard it's ok."
