My teacher suck for my ap european history class, so i dont know anything about the subject. i literally slept every single day in his class... and theres only a month left before the AP test! i have researched and found out that princeton review and cliffs are good prep books... and modern european history as well. what books would you recommend for a person who know nothing about the subject? please help me!

tbh your rather screwed at this point. best of luck.

thanks…
well. i do have a month left right?
any suggestions??

Sparknotes has a free full length practice test and gives you a score out of 5 when you finish it. Take that and see how really screwed you are.

About 18 days so you could do a chapter a day.

It’s not possible to memorize 500 years of european history in a month, especially with that work ethic (I’m a class sleeper, I understand). You can study the whole course but you’ll forget information. I suggest researching what will come up more often and focus on that/focus on what you think you have trouble with. For example, I memorized the Renaissance and 1850 - 1960s well because they are interesting to me. Everything else was boring so I focused on that.

I would take a practice test to see where you really are. I had a bad/decent teacher (maybe a 3 or a 4 out of ten), but I didn’t pay attention. I listened for the first four weeks and the last two weeks and that’s it. The teacher was so boring I put a magazine in my textbook and read for two and a half marking periods. I resigned to bomb the test, but I actually got… a four! My entire test was (no lie) based on the first four weeks and the last four weeks of class (WWI forward and the Renaissance back). There is always an element of luck on the test. Aim to write really well and get 60% of the questions right to get a 3 or above.

My teacher sucked and I basically taught myself AP Euro last year, got a 4. I used REA and read the entire book and took both practice tests. However, I started 1 month before the exam.

how did you do that all in a month?? that book is huge!

thank you for all your replies! i got princeton review and REA books… and i hope i could memorize as much as i can before the AP tests. I think I’ll take the practice tests after i study cuz i really dont know anything and i think it’s kind of pointless to take it right now…

ca87: thanks! i’ll take it after i study a little cuz i know nothing right now.

kingjoker54: thanks. i’ll try that.

theREACH: i started studying the renaissance… and it wasnt that bad. i think im bad with the political aspects of the history. i’ll take the same approach you did. thanksss.

applicannot: wow. im the same way. lol. i’m trying to pay attention now… but my teacher is REALLY SUPER DUPER BORING. he lectures EVERY SINGLE DAY (nothing else) with a monotone voice. i hope i’ll at least pass… but 4 would be nice :(

avman: the REA book is really big (like bubblewrapaddict said). youre amazing you were able to read everything in a month…

thanks for all the replies!
