I don't know if anyone else feels the same way

Hey guys, well today I got awfully pessimistic for some reason. And when I get pessimistic, I think about the whole entire world and what is going on it.

So, I was thinking to myself. It is ok if I get rejected (in the long run, it really is). What I will be more upset about is if the kids I know who are cheaters, dishonest get in. I don't know...makes me lose faith in the world and not believe in KARMA!.

sorry to be so dismal

I don't believe in karma, because the most succesful people in the world are also not very good people. Examples: Bush, Bill Gates, the Walton family.

How is Bill Gates not good? He's a huge philantropist. Microsoft is now doing research in biotech. Bush could also be good or bad, depending on who you are.

The walton's a perfectly good, hard-working people. Bill gates as well. I can't say the same for bush. Just because they worked at something and it worked out for them, doesn't mean you shouldn't like them. If it's because you don't like their effect on their market, that's business for you. If it's because you feel they should give away some of that wealth, why is it any of your business. Maybe they don't want to be great like the carnegies or the....

ugh nm, this will only make people start flaming. just ignore this.

The Waltons?! Who Is Going To Say They're Good People?! Lol!

I want to defend my position, but I'm not going to. See Delfire's quip about arguing on the internet.

"No one can earn a million dollars honestly."
- William Jennings Bryan (1860-1925)

lol =)

My World (CC) Famous Quip:

"Arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded."

Copyrighted bizatch...hehe.

Actually, I have heard it and used it in the past....but you can have the rights on CC.

"Wal-Mart workers' reliance on public assistance due to substandard wages and benefits has become a form of indirect public subsidy to the company.

Reliance by Wal-Mart workers on public assistance programs in California comes at a cost to the taxpayers of an estimated $86 million annually; this is comprised of $32 million in health-related expenses and $54 million in other assistance."

lol true. I don't think the WAltons are bad at all. The only thing I don't like is that their father is the one who truly made all the money, or at least the most work. They kinda just got in on it when it go good... Actually that's not true. The oldest son, now CEO, Rob I think, was a lawyer for them when they weren't that big, and he moved back (divored from his wife and I think with a daughter) and lived with his father. I unno I've read too much about them -_- ignore me

I don't believe in karma, because the most successful people in the world are also not very good people. Examples: Bush, Bill Gates, the Walton family.

Excuse me? Bush is an douchebag for other reasons, but Gates and the members of the Walton family are good people. My father knows Bill Gates and Michael Dell personally. He always tells me that Gates and Dell are very nice people, smart, cunning, but have a soft spot in their heart for philanthropy. I really don't think you can judge these people by just listening to what the news tells you.

If you do want to bitch about someone who is rich, and is an *... bitch about Larry Ellison... that *er is as bad as ****s come.

"No one can earn a million dollars honestly."
- William Jennings Bryan (1860-1925)

Bryan could not win a fúcking election if his life depended on it. And he was a shítty bible-thumping lawyer on top of that... almost as much of a douchebag as George Bush.

Actually, the Scopes trial is not what it was made out to be.

The textbook that Scopes was using was actually endorsing eugenics, racial supremacy, and the like, justifying it through Social Darwinist theories. Bryan's argument was partially based on the immorality of that, and how it conflicted with basic American ideas of equality.

Can you stop swearing?

Operah rocks...she gives out soo much shyt:..i wanna be there(her studio)..

o yeah.....wow..ppl on here know famous smart ppl?..dude ..

No, I can't stop swearing... I have tourette syndrome, you have a fúcking problem with that?

And regardless... he would be considered a bible-thumper in today’s standards.

Tourette's doesn't apply to typing!

I know, lol... just kidding :p

My (ex-; I'm an atheist now) priest is a "bible-thumper" and he's one of the most liberal, anti-Bush, all-around awesome people I know.
