I literally have no interest in any of the “in demand jobs” … Me personally all I do is make beats and do graphic design… I
I love talking a bout music, like reviewing albums and stuff… I know you might think that Music would fit me well but the problem is that I don’t play any musical instruments… and I don’t plan on it either… What career path would this leave me for someone who has the same interests that I do.
Well, you could major in graphic design.
Or, you could major in recording arts, but it’s likely you’ll have to take some music courses (though not necessarily courses on musical practice).
Or, you might do something relevant to writing music criticism, Even though music critics might come from a variety of backgrounds, it might be expected that you have some formal study of music (not necessarily as a major, though). Possible majors might include writing, journalism. For your particular musical interests, other relevant majors that might include those interests include American Studies (with a track in popular culture); Ethnomusicology (again, including popular music & culture); African-American Studies (again, with coursework on popular music); and possibly, sociology. There aren’t many jobs for music critics, though. A focus on popular culture broadens this, but almost always will involve either writing or media studies, or both.
