I don't know where to transfer! Please help!

So I am at a community college in California and want to transfer to a 4 year in the fall. My gpa in college is a 3.78 on a 4.0 scale and I am interested in finance and business. I was an athlete in high school and went to this community college to play and transfer after 2 years but then covid hit and we did not have a season. I didn’t feel the urge to play anymore so I am now looking at schools to not play at. I am looking every where in the U.S but have not found anymore schools that have really stood out to me. Where I am applying so far is, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Indiana University-Bloomington, University of Oregon, University of Arizona, and University of Texas-Austin. I want to apply to some more safety schools and some schools I have a pretty good chance of getting into. If anyone has any suggestions please reply!

Not answering your question, but you will need to know where you even can apply at this late date. This list should help with that:

You have targeted some great schools.

What do you want to study ?

What is important to you with respect to your collegiate experience ?

Add the University of Mississippi. You may receive a partial scholarship award.

Also, have you looked at the WUE list of schools where student from California can get discounted tuition from some schools in other western states? Many of these will be safeties for you. Google WUE WICHE and you’ll find the needed info. Be sure to search with your intended major and that you’re a transfer because not every school offers the “deal” to every major, and not every school offers it to transfers.

Wow! Thank you for replying so quickly. I want to become an investment banker so accounting and finance is what I am leaning towards. What I am really looking for in a school is a great education but also a fun student life. I was actually thinking about University of Mississippi so I will definitely add that to the list!

Thank you!

The University of Mississippi is great for accounting.
