Hey guys! I was extremely bored and I decided to steal this thread from another board. The time for your reply has come and gone, so have you decided to go to Brown? If not, where are you going? Or, even if you’re going to Brown, who did you turn down? That’s it!

I'm going to Brown!...instead of Dartmouth, Williams, Amherst, Wesleyan, Vassar, Michigan, and Brandeis.

I don't know if I count, since I did ED, but, thinking optimistically that I would have gotten into all my schools (which isn't unreasonable because Brown was my hardest, but who knows since this process is crazy), then I would have turned down Haverford, Grinnell, and Northwestern.

Brown all the way! I turned down Colgate, Kenyon, Lafayette, Tulane, Wash U (this was kind of hard) and Wesleyan.

Don't feel bad about turning down Wash U! Providence is wayyy more cosmopolitan than St. Louis, and the people at Brown are cooler.

"the people at Brown are cooler"

That's exactly why I chose Brown!

i kinda did something bad, and replied to all of them saying i was going... buts that only because im trying to use each schools financial aidoffer agianst the other and they are being slow with it...so i gave myself an "extention" and i didnt send out a check to any of them... so im good, even though i got a call saying they didnt get my money... but im not going to lehigh, or tulane, or drexel, or temple.... so it doesnt matter... but i feel bad, but ii dont, oh well... moe choices for me

Going to Brown, turned down Vassar, Wesleyan, Tufts, Trinity (Connecticut), Macalester, Reed, and Hamilton.

turned down georgetown, unc, umd, bucknell

and i turned down duke since that rejection was surely a misplaced acceptance letter

I turned down Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, and Duke for Brown. It was a very hard choice, but a good one! I ended up putting my reply card in the mailbox on Sunday at about 12:00 AM, at which point I found out that I had to write an ESSAY! Yeah, I was up till about 2:00 AM...

How much does that suck, though? I mean an essay AFTER you've been accepted? Oh, well, I guess I'd better get used to it!

I'm going to Brown! I turned down Cornell, LSE, McGill, Queen's, University of Toronto and Waterloo.

My S turned down Wesleyan, Tufts, George Washington, and William & Mary to go to Brown.

I turned down Yale and BU 7-yr med program for Brown PLME. Hardest decision ever...so glad it's over :)

crumflake, you do realize you run the risk of being rescinded from all your schools?

I turned down Georgetown, Swarthmore, Wellesley, Barnard, Wesleyan, Vassar, NYU, Dartmouth for Brown!!

Yay!! It was such an easy decision.

mayfirst: I did the EXACT same thing! I found the questionnaire on Sunday night; first I realized that it would be a day late, then I realized that there was an essay to be done. For me it was 12 to 2:30. That's what I get for procrastinating...

Haha that's pretty funny. Glad to know I'm not the only one who did that.

oh i should do that...

Brown over Wesleyan and Vassar and a few other liberal arts colleges.

Hey, I'm not going to brown. I got a nice FA package too, but after visiting, it just didn't appeal. Yeah, college is going to be sweet!
