I don't understand the SSAT scores very well/ Should I be worried?

So I just got my SSAT score back and I’m freaking out A LOT. I think it’s important I mention that I am applying for 11th Grade to Exeter, Deerfield and Walnut Hill. I’ve have never been educated in the American system, and have been thought by the Russian and British curriculum for most of my life. As I am a US citizen and want to go to university in the US, it makes a lot of sense to finish my high school education there. I had never taken an American Standardised test prior to the SSAT and am used to a very different text format and question type (we do not have multiple choice and do not have reading comprehension or synonyms and analogies in the British System). I was quite put off by this. My score is 2046 out out of 2400 (85%) which is the 55th percentile. I don’t know which one of these is more important or if they both matter. Other than my score I can comfortably say that I am very proactive with my EC’s I am part of a highly selective Gifted and Talented program in my school, a Senior Prefect as well as being on my school swim team. I play piano at an advanced level and sing at an advanced level, I act and dance as well. I am also confident that the recommendations I received are very good. I would really like to know whether my SSAT score is going to ruin everything, as I am extremely worried about it. If it wasn’t for the score I would be much more confident with my application - however after receiving I am beyond worried.

Your SSAT is very low for Deerfield and Exeter, where the average SSAT scores for admitted students is 87% and 94% respectively. Walnut Hill does not require the SSAT, so you may have a better chance there. Good luck!
