I don't understand what Penn State's personal statement is asking?

"Please tell us something about yourself, your experiences, or activities that you believe would reflect positively on your ability to succeed at Penn State. This is your opportunity to tell us something about yourself that is not already reflected in your application or academic records. We suggest a limit of 500 words or fewer."

I don't what exactly they want me to say. Should I maybe write about how I did volunteer work in Europe with a student ambassador program? Or should it be something simple about how I've worked since I was in 8th grade? Or even simply how I'm the oldest child in my family?

Help please?

… bump!

Use the first one.

The first one is definitely the most unique.

Basically it means write about anything, the best idea is to use an essay from another college that you think is excellent and edit it for Penn State, that’s what I’m doing

Okay, thanks everyone!
