When is too late to apply to these schools? I have no idea as of now, and are any of these GUARANTEED safeties? I'm from India and if I don't get into any of these NOW then my parents will most definitely hate me and kick me out of the house once I'm 18. PLEASE help me I'm begging you!!!111

Edit: I would be so happy if I got accepted into Rolla, Purdue, or OSU.. do you guys know about those?

you have a good chance of getting in.
especially, wvu and purdue.
keep working hard.
^^

Ok, the first impression after i saw your resume was: Is this a joke or something?
Well.. Of Course you can get accepted. Comon, just think about it, you are not applying for Harvard or Yale.
Don't worry so much, the kids on CC here are mostly top of their HS or classes, so dont read too much of their resume b/c they tend to intimidate you...
Also, maybe you should consider narrowing down you college choices a little bit, b/c these applications will cost you $n000 dollars -.-

p.s. One more thing... are your freaked out about your resume?! I don't see the reason why you would post the exact same thing over and over and over again!

Well is it too late to apply now? I heard applying in December is bad.. and do you guys think OSU could be considered a definite safety, because I'd be perfectly happy going there. And also, is it worth rushing in SAT I scores that late.. most likely the 3rd week of December..

I just saw ur edit.. yea I am EXTREMELY scared right now. I seriously have no idea how I can get into any of these schools.. I know they're state schools, but my GPA is absolute crap. I just don't see how I stand a chance applying this late with rushed test scores :(

You'll be ok. Hurry and get applications sent now, let the SATs come later... they won't mind that. You show a HUGE upward grade trend, which will also be good. I'd try not to worry about it and make your essays good, and maybe try to explain the grades in the little extra info. area.

Well... depends on what you applying for. Yes, applying in December is bad..... for some colleges w/ rolling enrollment...however, if you send your applications early in Dec. to the schools w/o rolling enroll, you'd be fine. Again, NARROW DOWN YOUR LIST!! you are not gonna get soooo many applications in a month!! consider some safety schools and take your time on applications. It's better to have good applications rather than rushed ones, okay?

One more thing, just chill out man... you are scaring me a little, go watch a movie or do something that will relax you a bit. Then sit down and think about what you'd do (make a plan list). And talk w/ you parents a bit will help :)

I'm from Indiana, and there's no way you won't get into Purdue and Indiana State. Don't stress about it.

You have competitive SAT numbers! Don't worry so much. You have a list w/ plenty of match schools - throw out the stats and look at the acceptance numbers:

Indiana State: 83%
Michigan State: 79%
West Virginia University: 89%
Ohio State University: 76%
Penn State University: 58%
Boston University: 55%
Purdue University: 80%
Truman University: 84%
University of Missouri, Rolla: N/A
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor: 62%
University of Rochester: 48%
University of Pittsburgh: 49%

You should feel good, man! You will get into Purdue for sure; OSU might be a bit of a reach (but you should go for it!) and Rolla doesn't have enough info for my to say - but I'd apply if I was you.

Next you should eliminate some of the reach schools and you may have too many safeties...narrow them down to save a boatload of money on apps. To be honest, UMich, Rochester, Pittsburgh, BU, and Penn St. might be out of reach, but take a shot at a couple for the heck of it if you want. You'll be fine!

Is OSU really a reach? I thought it was similar to Mizzou, and I really want to go there.

OSU would like a little higher GPA...but your SATs are good enough, so I'd say:

OSU: Slight Reach (almost a Match)

Apply! You have a great shot.

My current SAT's are good, or my expected scores?

I really don't know why you're worrying so much...

Indiana State
-- Michigan State (Good match)
-- West Virginia University (Good safety. No way you'll get rejected)
-- Ohio State University (Match)
-- Penn State University (slight reach)
-- Boston University (Reach. Not huge, but somewhat of a reach)
-- Purdue University (Match)
-- Truman University- IDK
-- University of Missouri @ Rolla- Match
-- University of Michigan @ Ann Arbor- Fairly big reach
-- University of Rochester- IDK
-- University of Pittsburgh (slight reach)
