He is my teacher for two of my most important subjects. Is it okay that I do this? D: I just feel so bad haha

It’s fine. Just make sure you give him a thank you card or something after it all. That’s what I did. And my counselor has gone so out of his way for me that I’m giving him a gift certificate to a restaurant.

Do you do that at the end of the year? I was thinking of thanking my teacher with a card and etc, but it’d be weird if I did that during the year. :P

I already gave my teachers their thank you cards. I just sorta left it on their desk when they weren’t looking because I would have felt awkward handing it to them. My counselor I will do at the end of the year because he’s done so much for me already but he still has a lot of work to do an I want the gift card to be an overall thank you for everything he has done. I will also leave that in his office when he is not looking.

A few days later, my teachers were basically like, oh, I got your card, I appreciate it. It wasn’t weird or awkward.

I’m applying to seven internships and feel the same way! I remind him before each deadline and thank him every time, and I’m going to be his TA next year so he likes me, but still. At the end I think I’ll give him a card, maybe with a Starbucks gift card or something to show appreciation. The worst part is that a lot of the programs have different prompts so he can’t even just write some kind of uniform letter…

this is why i’m going to hate asking for recommendations for college next year…a lot of my teachers scare me :(

They should be used to it imo.

lol they don’t scare me. I talk to them often and they really like me. I just feel like they’re really busy and I hate to bother them haha. I might be a TA for him next year :)
