This summer I was planning on bringing in my SAT score 200 points more from my 2060 (CR 610 M 760 W 690) May SAT.

This summer was the last summer I had since I will be a senior this year.

However my summer plan got RUINED.

I started having a stomach reflux in earlier this year (like in March), thought it was going to get better but it did not. I lost A LOT of weight (I am 5ft 3in and weight 77lbs) and my health conditions got worse since i couldnt really eat anything..

(But not horrible enough to get hospitalize or anything so it may not seem like a bigdeal to college admins..)

So i ended up going to different hospitals and seeing different doctors hoping to get my conditions fixed and get my health conditions better before the school starts all summer.

I feel so lost tho.. my scores are low, my gpa is pretty low(unweighted 3.3) eventhough I got all As soph and junior year, because i did not do well in school my freshman year.

My dream college was Tufts... but i dont know where I can even apply with those scores

I feel lost.. I dont know what I should do guys..

Certainly 77 lbs at 5 ft 3 for the past 6 months is cause for great concern. Why did you go to different hospitals? What tests did they take? What were the results? Your health s/b your first priority.

Please don’t feel so depressed. You have a medical condition, and therefore can be forgiven. How can you expect a sick person to study for SAT? Have you thought of maybe delay entering college for a year? Even if you don’t do that, I am sure your SAT score of 2060 is good enough to enter some descent college. First, of all, you need to be confident and get rid of your depression right away, so you can focus on practicing your SAT. You still have two months, and maybe, during this time, you might get a 50-100 points increase. And colleges care mosty about your junior year and senior year (1st semester) gpa’s, and they can you see you have improved from your freshman years. I really hope you feel better soon.

Summer is not even close to being over, if you study hard for the remaining 20 days you can definitely bring your SAT score up, you have nothing to worry about, just start studying… NOW

Outside of the F-ed up world of CC, a 2060 with straight As is fabulous.

Practice hard, and take it again. Apply to Tufts and simply explain that you are dealing with an illness. No need to write a whole essay on it, but let them know.

Your health is #1.

Also, Reading and Writing are actually pretty easy to study for, just take a lot of practice tests. Get comfortable with the question formats and DON’T OVERTHINK.
