most portals will have an upload option. if they do, you should do that. but since you emailed it already you can wait for their response. they may upload it for you. good luck.
It is going to be ok. Your resume should not be that wordy either.
Sometimes in life you have to accept that something like this is left off for a reason. I can assure you none of the AOs want to go through the trouble of opening an attachment to find a resume with more words about the same activities. You are good.
Get some sleep. Have a great day at school tomorrow.
Revisit this before your next round of deadlines. You might decide to reprioritize your activities or update essay content to highlight something that you thought was critical in your resume.
Sleep well.
Iâm just a mom helping my daughter with her apps, so Iâm not in a position to give much advice. From what others have said, I would try not to worry about it, but if you feel very strongly your application doesnât give a complete picture of you without it, I understand why you want to send it.
As others said, be sure it really is something that adds a lot to your application. My daughter also used it to explain more in-depth some of her important activities that could not fit in the word count. She cut out most of the info on the resume (itâs one sheâs used for other things), so the admissions people wouldnât have to read the same info already on her Common App.
If you already emailed it, I think thatâs fine and I wouldnât upload to the schoolâs application portal on top of that. If you havenât sent it, Iâd try their application portal first if thereâs a place to do that. But Iâd only do it for schools that specifically welcome resumes, which I think you said this school does.
I know itâs stressful now but it will be okay! Good luck!
Why is it essential for you to elaborate more? If this is indeed some special activity, does it not speak for itself?
If you have already emailed this resume to schools, then why would you want to send it again.
If you are unsure what they will do with an email resume, give admissions a call and ask them.
Is this for an ED application?
Yes, this is the reason to include a resume. Great!
Is is for EA application
I think this student didnât add the resume under the schoolâs section on the common ap. Perhaps she or he can clarify.
I think the best action is to contact admissions and explain that this has been emailedâŠand see if that worksâŠor if the school wants it sent some other wayâŠ
yeah I have already sent them the email and attached my resume. Hope that they will accept it huhu
If you are willing to name the college, perhaps someone here has experience with this question.
Contact admissions. It varies with the school. If you cannot send it on the portal, contact them tomorrow. Make sure it is not a student when you call. They may be quite busy!
The name of the school doesnât really matter. It seems the OP had an option to add it on Common App. Since that is the case, the college is open to receiving them. Most likely OP can upload on the portal. OP already contacted admissions - so they should be all set. Not a big deal. It happens a lot.
I have already sent them an email. Should I upload to the portal again? Thank youu
If there is a place to upload your resume in the portal, yes, you should do so.
Thank you so much <3
