I got 10 for this essay but I really wanna get a 12 or 11. Anybody helps me with it?

First of all, I am an international student and English is not my first language(So...you may find my article only 9 or 8, just maybe). I took SAT both in Jan and May and I got 10 twice with two 5 scores. I've practiced a lot and I don't really know why I can't get a 12 or at least 11(it's my goal). And my examples may not be 100% real. I just know the general information related to my examples and remember some of the details. Can anyone tell me how to improve my essay?

Should leaders follow their own convictions or submit to public opinion?

Leaders, who should follow mostly by the citizens but not the voices of leaders their own, are more or less the spiritual pillars of any industry. Public opinions, reflecting a large part majority, give a flawless reference to governors, managers and all other sorts of leaders. And since the dawn of the time, the examples are various and distinct.

In and of the time of presidency of Herbert Hoover, the president before the one who implemented New Deal, was not distinguished insomuch as his biased sentiment about the better solution to which could drag the Americans out of poverty—economic breakdown. Unshakingly believing in laissez faire was Hoover that during that time, Americans had set foot in the realm of “advocation of government’s participation in economic”, a communist behavior of a sort which Hoover did not recognize would come to play and refused to follow public voices, who mostly seconded the government’s intervention. Hoover’s behavior perfectly sheds light on the gravity of submittal to public opinions seeing that a president is not almighty and public, as outsiders, sees the problem clearer and will so much as make better decisions.

Other than that, taking the American society as a whole, on the authority of Democracy in America, European revolutionary writer Tocqueville states the power of hearing the public views as well as the significance of it. Tocqueville is of the opinion that of all the factors America is of the ability to become the world’s most successful democratic country, one is that American government gives full rein to resort to the people’s sentiment and the Senate and Congress is thus elected; simply on the grounds that president’s ability to look at the problem is cramped, in which case, by way of the essence of free speech, the voiceless should be heard by leader so as to let the leader acknowledges what average people need and what he or she is able to fulfill their needs and dreams.

Barring the historical event and the masterpiece, Sheryl Sandberg, for the time being a considerable COO in Facebook, had the experience that, in the light of her speech in Facebook: once upon a time she was in the blink of putting the company in advertisement jeopardy and it was the general opinions from her employees that stretch the company out of danger by asking her “millions of times” do not cut down the price of advertisement section. Sheryl’s story demonstrates the mistake a leader can make if keeping close to oneself. Tow is better than one. Somehow public opinion is more authorized.

In short, headers in any realm are obliged to take public opinion into consideration, for its democracy, hit-or-miss idea and the correct of majority.

Why do you want an 11 or 12?
10 is great (especially for international student) and many who got an 800 got a 10 on the Essay.

Because I will study journalism, especially in writing and reporting. And I’ve personally published some articles in English so I just hope my SAT can prove my writing ability.

I don’t know what to recommend.
I would be more concerned about the SAT scores on Critical Reading and Writing. The Essay is a small part of the Writing score.
But, go to pwnthesat website. He has a Essay workbook. If you purchase the Essay workbook and signup to his website and give proof of purchase, he will grade your Essays for free. He got a 2400 on the SAT and graduated from Brown.

“And since the dawn of the time, the examples are various and distinct.”

That was a death sentence right there. My english teacher says that whenever she sees "Throughout history, since the dawn of time, men have always been *present-tense verb) it sets you up for a disaster. They’re filler introductory lines that have no meaning and are intensely overused.

I always get 8… help me to get 10,11
