I took the AP US Government test and scored a 2. In a sense I guess you could call it selfstudy, because I was taking honors government, and we didn't have AP Government. But still took the test in hopes of getting a 4-5. Well I ended up getting a 2 on the test. I plan on applying to mainly the colleges in the big 10(to give you an idea of whom I am applying to). So what should I do with the score?

If you didnt take an AP class you should just cancel the score.

Read my post in the thread "1 on AP Exam"

Would being self-study, not impact me as much? I'm also not applying to the Ivy league as many on here do. So would it not impact me as much, because I am not applying to as high level of schools?

since a 2 won't get you college credit anywhere, it is of no value to you. I would cancel it just to elinimate from the record.

I had it sent to a college I will be applying for in Sept. Does that mean, even if I do cancel it. They will still have it?

^^^ It has already been sent.

If you've already sent the score to one college that you are applying to, then there's nothing you can do about that now. They have already received the score and it will remain in their records. But for the other colleges you apply to, you can simply omit the score from your application without a problem.

So, if I do take an AP course and then take the Ap exam at the end and end up getting a bad score, I can cancel it? Wouldn't it look bad to colleges if someone took a course with out taking the exam?

I think so CMU. What is an AP course without a test at the end of the year? It is nothing more than an honors course in that case... The test is supposed to warrant what you have learned.

is it too late to cancel it?
(i wanna cancel my AP Lang 2)

if canceled, will that omit itself from ap awards?
