SAT is not required because I'm in-state.. but I took it thinking that if I did well, it'd give me an advantage. But I ended up only getting an average score.. 680 Math, 650 Reading, 720 Writing and an 8 on the essay. Should I send it into the University of Michigan?
I got a 32 on the ACT and have a 3.96 GPA, if that's relevant.

32 > 2050, don’t worry about the SAT score…the ACT is much better

I would send it. It correlates close to a 30 on the ACT, both good enough for UMich. Which I am also applying for! What college are you trying to get in?

Your GPA and ACT are already strong. Your SAT is in UMich’s middle 50% based on the data I can find, so it’s up to you.

Your ACT is stronger than your SAT for M+CR, but you should check to see how your ACT English with writing matches up to your SAT writing (search “ACT SAT concordance” to find the charts).

I doubt sending it would make much of a difference either way.

Your score is well above average for all test-takers, and is probably also above average for UMich applicants.

Interesting logic right there. While it’s a strong SAT score, you’re entirely ignoring the fact that the ACT score is stronger.

I’m applying for LSA at U of M
