Hello,
I’ve been deferred from UPenn and unfortunately I’ve got a B on my AP Calc this semester. I’m applied CS for every school. Calc is my only B, but it’s almost one fifth of my entire GPA. Does this ruin my chances of getting into a good school?
These kinds of questions are really subjective and you’ll get varying answers from everyone. I’d say a B in calc (1/5th of a GPA) wouldn’t be a deciding factor, but it will be a negative. That being said, it most certainly does not “ruin” your chances of getting into a good school.
Remember, the college admissions process is holistic, and colleges don’t only look at your academic transcript.
