i just wanted to let everyone know that there was an OPTIONAL essay for indiana. however, it could only be found in the paper app.

Accepted! Received notice on a Sunday. Their system must have updated over the weekend because the message was the same old message- check back- on Saturday.

Congrats to everyone!

I just can't wait to get my packet because I want to see the MONEY! i received from them!

Nice job! What were your stats?

630v
630w
1280/1600
1910/2400

3.72 unweighted
4.23 weighted.

I felt like such a moron after getting WL :/ I might consider transferring to IU. I really need to visit. Congrats guys!

When I try to check my app status, it does not work. When can I expect to hear from them if I applied on Oct 17?

Todd--
What does it say when you try to log in?

"Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again." And when I click on the forgot password option, they say the email me, but it does not show up in my email. I'm anxious to find out my status and I have not been able to in the past 5 days.

I would send them an email or call. Did your username and password previously work?

yes, it has always worked until 5 days ago.

Have you completely closed your web browser? You might try that and maybe even restart your computer. If I log out and then immediately try to log back in, it gives me that message. But if I close my web browser and reopen the page, it works.

I've been trying for several days and it still hasn't worked. I'll email them to see what's up.

My son's admit packet arrived today, exactly 4 weeks to the day after the admit message on the website. The scholarship info was included in the packet. It also included instructions on how to set up his IU e-mail address.

It really took 4 weeks? They usually come out sooner then that, as it only took mine about 2 weeks to arrive.

Yep, 4 weeks. We visited a week and a half ago and they said they are crazy busy in admissions.

Thanks for the update, Izzie. What did you think of IU when you visited? I was unable to visit last summer, but S and H went. S stayed at IU for a couple of weeks, while he attended a journalism program.

Slugger, did your scholarship info arrive with the packet?

I loved IU! It's the perfect place for my son. He wanted a big school, Big 10 sports, good chemistry program and not too far from home. He sent in his deposit today.

Yeah Izzie, that all sounds good. I really should look into transferring. I need to visit sometime soon.

Oregonianmom, older son is there and I can tell you I LOVE the campus! It's beautiful, has a lot of older limestone buildings that remind me of Ivy league schools, there are flowers and lovely landscaping all around it. They do a great job with the upkeep. And the surrounding town, Bloomington, is interesting, well maintained, and the kids feel safe in it.

If I were going to school, it would be my number one choice. Alas, I am a hundred years old....lol.
