I Got Accepted!

i'm confused....accepted for what term? are you a senior? i'm lost :(

They're talking about the diversity open house program. It's a weekend that provides students from diverse backgrounds (ethnic or financial) a taste of Amherst. The program is by application only, and they say that if you are accepted to this program, you have a 75% chance of admission to Amherst when you apply.

How does the transportation work?
Because I live in california and i dont have too much money for traveling funds, I applied to the diversity weekend believing that they would set up all the travel information for me?
Does this mean that I have to buy my own ticket and that when I arrive at Amherst, the people in the admission's office will reimburse me? Or that they will buy the tickets for me?
- does this go for the Williams Multicultural Weekend too?

if u get in, they pay for you. in amherst's case, they give u phone # of travel agency, and the agency handles your ticket. no cost

I was wondering how this year's diversity weekend kids fared in ED.

Did anybody get in? I did.

dude, the train stops like a couple blocks away. it's not much further than the bus.

i've made the NYP-Amherst ride several times, and it's pretty easy; the time goes quickly enough if you have something to do. the only infuriating part is where they change directions in palmer and are stopped for like 15 minutes.

I did!!!!!

my son did too.
