lol, the heading of the email was 'invitation just for you' and i got excited :) did anyone else get this email??

I didn’t get one. so maybe…a good sign for you? do you mind if you tell us what the email was about? I googled it but I couldn’t find any information about the event.

Do you live in California?

sure, it was from office of undergraduate admissions and the heading was:
You’re invited to a Berkeley event just for you, April 16
and it said:
Hello Cassandra,

The University of California, Berkeley, Office of Undergraduate Admissions (OUA) cordially invites you to the

3rd Annual Community to Cal Day Program
April 16, 2011

Please RSVP by March 31st.

Why is this event important?

Effective collaboration, or friend building is crucial to OUA - and the UC Berkeley community. While OUA bears primary responsibility of recruiting, evaluating, selecting and enrolling the undergraduate student body, we cant do this work on our own. We rely on others, both within and outside our University, to serve students, reach our goals, and further the campus mission.

This year our Community to Cal Day program theme is Picture Yourself @ Berkeley: A Place Where You Can Excel Beyond, Exchange Ideas, and Change the World. This celebration is largely about you, our friends, community members, and students. At the Community to Cal Day program, you can expect to be welcomed, engaged, and inspired by not only campus leaders but also student groups and community partners.

After the program, you are free to explore Cal Day, Berkeley’s annual open house, on your own.

How much will it cost?
This event is free of charge. And we will be serving lunch!

Where?
UC Berkeley Campus, Martin Luther King Student Center (ASUC) Pauley Ball Room

When?
10 am - 1 pm, Saturday, April 16

How do you reserve space at this event?
Please RSVP by March 31st. For reservations, questions, or additional information, please contact Nicole Harris, by emailing: ouareservations@berkeley.edu

We hope to see you then!
