<p>I just got an email invitation from Berkeley to join a "Getting to Know Berkeley"
Webinar???? Does anyone know what this is, or what it means? Did they send it
out to every applicant?</p>

<p>Hi, everyone, I'm from the Admissions Office, and I sent out the invitations. The webinar event is just a way for us to communicate to our current applicants, prospective students, counselors, and parents during the application period. Neither the invitation nor the event reflects on anyone's status as an applicant. </p>

<p>It says it'll link up to our compy's audio/visual equipment. Does that mean they're expecting a video from our end, cause I don't have a camera for that sorta thing?</p>

<p>I got one too, but I'm from Hawaii so I won't be able to attend=(. It's really sad too, because Berkeley's awesome!</p>

but the confirmation email states:
"You will be connected to audio using your computer’s microphone and speakers (VoIP). A headset is recommended."</p>

<p>so, i'm guessing a voice chat thing?
better than nothing! =D</p>

<p>armageddon, i believe this is an online video/audio seminar, you don't actually have to fly there.</p>
