I got an email from UMRP at Harvard?

<p>I recently got an email from Harvard College with the subject line saying "A Message from Harvard College" that read as follows: </p>

<p>Yes, it is legit. It means that you, along with many, many others are on the radar screen. If you are interested, go ahead and respond to learn more. But don’t overestimate what it means in terms of your getting admitted. Good luck!</p>

<p>I just received an email identical to this last night. i am very confused to how Harvard acquired my contact details and why they emailed me considering I only achieved 2000 on my SATs. I haven’t even done my subject tests. I am from South Africa. Should I apply?</p>

<p>I got this but the person’s name was different :stuck_out_tongue: I honestly don’t think it’s THAT meaningful, but it does mean that you may fall within a certain range on the ACT/SAT/PSAT/whatever.</p>
