<p>My thoughts exactly. I think you have a great shot if you can get that SAT up to around 2100+</p>

<p>my ACT score is a 35 and i got deferred...unless that's bad, I don't even know if improving your SAT scores will help...but obviously you should try.</p>

<p>wow, if someone with your SATs can gets deferred, then I guess that just shows that the SATs aren't like THE DECIDING factor in admissions. Of course, its not a 'mere check' either, but I guess your CRAZY senior courseload helped a lot in your deferral insted of rejection.</p>

<p>My advice is in two parts:
1- Retake SATs
2- send them your newest gpa, since Duke'll be interested in how you cope with 6 APs in a year (actually, its 5.5 APs, since APUSH is divided in two... weird)</p>
