I’m in the 10th grade in high school and got expelled for a altercation with my teacher. She took my phone off of my desk (it was off and faced down) while class was about to start and didn’t tell me why she took it so I reached for my phone and tried to grab it she put her arm in the way and said I hit her. I was going to a college Career academy AB student almost all A’s track star for my base school football player I’ve hosted culinary events for the school ,I’ve started my own start up gaming company with some people and I was my 10 grade representative in my student council will it still look bad to colleges
(Ps. It is only a 2 month expulsion close to the end of the year)
Expulsions are permanent. As in, you don’t get to go back to that school. They’re not two months long.
They said I could come back next year
Then its a suspension. They mislabeled it. Do NOT tell your colleges you got expelled because you didn’t. Public schools wont care about it as much but it definitely will hurt you. I have however heard stories where the college read the reason why and thought it was ridiculous and didn’t care so you might have hope there.
Yes, it might look bad to colleges but you have an opportunity next year to focus on continuing your academic achievements and make a good impression on your teachers and counselors. We have a teacher in our school district who has injured in an argument over a cell phone and that student was younger, not a high school football player.
