I got in ...right? aka college admissions mistakes

I JUST HEARD FROM MY TOP CHOICE. IN AN EMAIL. I am extraordinarily happy and I really honestly can't beleive it. I was sure I'd get rejected.

But I also have this crazy nagging feeling that they made a mistake or something. I have read too many horror stories about people getting acceptances...but they didn't actually get in (computer malfunction, etc.). The college is Whitman by the way. This stuff doesn't really happen that often right? Reasure me?

Unless it was a practical joke by someone you know or a very... malevolent person at Whitman, then you're in.

Congratulations on your acceptance.

Haha thanks...only I would be worried about stuff like this now :)

Good luck everyone! Obviously life works out for the best.

You might want to make sure.

A lot of schools don't give you a decision via e-mail. They will give you a link and a username/password to find out.

Call the school to make sure OR wait until an offical letter comes in.

It looks or seems like someone is playing a joke on you which is just immature and stupid. I hope not though.

Congrats. :)

looking at the website, it says that the EDII notification was January 23 meaning yesterday. Did you apply EDII? If so you're most likely in.

Yeah, I was EDII. And the email was on the same background as all of their other "official" emails. I don't know why I'm obsessing, but I just am. I was really shocked I got in I guess.

me, too. I was so surprised and happy that i got in that i checked almost every 10 min ^^ I expected another page to pop up saying 'Sorry, it was just a joke'

Call them and say you received a decision via email and was calling to confirm that it was valid. The admissions office will be able to confirm the email or pronounce it as fraud.

If you don't mind me asking what school was it?
