I applied ED II, and though they say they will respond by the 15th of February, I came home to find a large envelope on the table. I am ecstatic! Did anyone else hear?

Congratulations!! Carleton just seems like a wonderful school!!

good job. :)

My daughter is a freshman at Carleton and just wanted you to know that she is incredibly happy there. Although the workload is predictably heavy, she finds her fellow students and the faculty engaging, supportive and, yes, Minnesota nice. Several of her friends are at Ivy League schools and other "prestigous" campuses, but, hands down, she is convinced that she is the happiest and is also receiving a superior education. I hope that you wind up there, too!

Congratulations!

I urge you to consider coming for one of the Accepted Student Weekends in April once you get that information. I had a great time last year at mine and found it to be pretty representative of the Carleton experience, minus the obvious homework and work-study obligations. You'll meet some of your future classmates, which is always fun, and last year the weather was gorgeous. Good times.

ditto, carlmom. Same sentiments exactly from my frosh D. Happy, engaged, and challenged. Just sent pictures from their Winter Ball. Lots and lots of friends made easily at Carleton.

Congrats burntpiano!

I got in too!! I just wish I can obtain the visa this summer. Congrat, burntpiano. what's ur intended major?

On the application I put down a focus in English; however, I am going to the colllege with a completely open mind. I have recently grown passionate in philosophy, so I am definitely planning on taking some philo classes at Carleton. Also, considering their Poli. Sci. department is exceptional, I will definitely be interested in that area as well.

How about you? Oh, and where are you currently located?

Congratulations burntpiano. One of my friends also received an early decision acceptance, and he is pretty much the coolest person ever. I know you will have an awesome time and be surrounded by similarly engaging people at Carleton.

I am in Nanjing, China. I will probably try a science major. Of course, I am not trying to limit myself to one or two options.
