I Got Into Ucla On Appeal!!!!!!

and for a impacted major, pre psyc

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now i gotta decide ucb or ucla??? AHHHHHHH

wow how the f**k did you pull that off?

good job...you went to all that work to appeal...

Go to UCLA!!!

yea go to ucla. it's kinda pointless to have gone through all that tedious appeal process only to reject it anyway.

as a pre-psych, UCLA is your best bet. UCLA is known for its research department. Congratulations!

Wow so late! but better late than never. If you want UCLA, decide now. Orientation signups have already begun, housing deadlines are over with, parking etc.

Getting in on an appeal to psych is pretty impressive, that major is really packed so you must have had some legit information. Did anyone read that information packet thing that came with the admissions packet for ucla and notice that poli sci and psych are the most popular majors. This really scares me, the main reason I picked psych was because I thought it would be easier/less competitive at ucla.

congrats! my appeal was rejected this past tuesday

IF you don't mind me asking, what did you say in your appeal?

CONGRATS!!! DID YOU JUMP IN YOUR POOL AGAIN?? HAHAHA

i sent in my appeal a day before the deadline and they received it saturday. tuesday they updated the status saying that it was pending... so we'll seeee. nice job though!

why were u guys rejected?

dude...i should have appealed for berkeley. i had 4.0 for 24 units. how they would have panted!

i appealed to berkeley but rejected.

go to berkeley. i was at calso today and berkeley is by far the place to be. but then again do what you want lol. i am officially biased.

congrats!! my friend appealed to berkeley and found out that he got in a few days ago. He was a one year transfer so it was pretty miraculous haha. (by "one year" I mean that he finished two years of work in one)

poppin, i envy ur friend. i'm a one year transfer also, but rejected to cal. but, i determined to make up for this major blow to my self-esteem at ucla...my time is coming. lol...just u wait...just u wait...i'm going to show professors i'm not to be fooled with...

berkeley needs more cute girls so please come here. :D

there was the most obnoxious douchbag in front of the line when i was trying to get my student id card. he said something like "tulsa" but i dont speak retard, maybe he was saying calso????????

BayAreaLivin - I might have, except I found out at work. So instead imagine a skinny white girl who already looks strange on a construction site running around in a hardhat and work boots failing her arms around madly in pure excitement and squealing for joy. It was awesome.

dhl3 - I started my appeal before I got into Berkeley, so it made sense to finished it, I don't like to leave ANY stone unturned. Who wants to live with the regret of not tryng?

sauronvoldemort - maybe but berkeley really looks for people who overcame hardships, give back to the community and who are leaders. It's a very humanitarian school. It's not what you can do, but why you do it.

niggit42- my friend had calso they same day as you, she loved it too

When I get a chance I'll explain my appeal I still have a bunch of thank you letters to write to my teachers, I'm debating even posted the letter, but there's a personal paragraph that even my family didn't read.

As far as making a decision, I have an interview tomorrow for an AWESOME house in berkeley so if me and my friends get it, no contest. Regardless I'm leaving for LA right after because I really don't know much about the school and don't know how long it'll take to find out if we get the place.

So far the staff at UCLA have been well pretty rude and unaccommodating on the phone. Apparently I won't even know if I can get housing until August, yet I only have three weeks to make my decision, I'm hoping I might have better luck in person, but I'm not expecting much. So Basically LA would have to be freakin amazing to make me take that risk, while Berkeley has been extremely welcoming and actually makes me feel like the want me there. LA gives me this whole expendable vibe.

What I need to do is compare their psychology programs and see which one is a better fit as far as classes and what they specialize in.

haha sorry for the stupid question but..whata an appeal?
