i hate pre-calc. . will this ruin chances?

in my senior year, i failed the first quarter of pre-calc but i quickly dropped it and so the grade will not be sent to colleges-- they will however see that i dropped the class…
im taking ap macro and ap env.sci. and am getting 80’s- will that make me look good? – i really want to get into fordham and northeastern
weighted avg. 89.3 sats 1210

 • top 25 percent of class decent EC’s
 • i also got three grades in the mid 70’s junior year. .

o0o....not lookin good.......

is this really bad even if they won't see the grade?

what does everyone else think?

How many years of math and at what level of difficulty will you have succeeded with before you get to college? What do those colleges recommend?

mr. B : all of the colleges only require three years of math. . i have taken three years already and i am not majoring in a math field. . i got high 70's through high 80's in my other three years

i cant say about your chances at those two schools you mentioned, but i do know that high 70s and 80s...isnt exactly what i would call "great." also, you have to consider the fact that they REQUIRE 3 years, but alot of students that will be applyin to the same school will have more than 3, like i have 4 years of math, about a total of bout 7 classes....sorry to sound discouraging, but its only true.

Yea, half my pre-calc class dropped out. Now I still have a B, but i think it looks better to persist with it to prove you're willing to try harder. Is there another easier math you can take this yr, statistics or something?

yea thats true. . i do go over their limit for other subject areas though, its just math where i'm borderline
