I'm still taking summer classes right now and I hate them. Mostly because I'm working at the same time. I'm at work when I'm not in class. Most of my friends are having so much fun traveling the world and whatnot.
:(

Anyone else taking them?

I literally flew home for 1.5 days after the last semester ended before heading off to class.

Well, I was taking them, but I ended up with a medical withdrawal. And trust me, I'd rather be taking classes than dealing with what the alternative turned out to be. So I'm probably not the best person to empathize with.

But yeah, summer classes can be frustrating because they are so intense -- and being a full-time student and having a couple of jobs is no fun either, and probably worse in the summer when it is so easy to fall behind. In the past, I've always found it really frustrating to be taking summer classes. When do they end?

I'm taking them. And there nice if you wanna cram 15 weeks of a class into 5, but it definitely sucks when your friends are doing fun things and your just studying or in class or working all the time.

My class just ended. I really don't mind taking them because they give me a chance to get out of the house. It is also nice to be able to get some gen eds out of the way. I mean, I chose to take summer classes, so there was no reason for me to hate them. The fact that it's summer might help because it's nice, warm, and sunny, which I like.

Summer classes are annoying by the last 1/2 of the time. Mine officially closed today, so I'm really happy. It sucks because I've been working too and I just really want a break. I did go on vacation, but the whole time I was worrying about if I'd be able to get all my work done in 24 hours after I got back while unpacking and getting ready to go back to work. I was planning on taking a 2 week history class that would have started tomorrow, and I'm really glad I dropped it. Transferring schools is stressful enough without having class up until the day before I move. Summer classes suck if you have to take them, but I also chose to, so it wasn't as bad. It sucks at the time, but it's usually worth it later on. Good luck with it!

I took them earlier this summer. They were HELL! The lifestyle that came along with it wasn't great. There was soooo much work that I didn't sleep much (mostly all-nighters) and binged on caffeine (I normally don't drink coffee). I had a miserable time and ended up doing awful because I was so depressed.

yeah i'm in the same boat as you buck, starting summer classes in late june to mid september and having only about a week off before fall quarter starts, i was only going to take just 6 weeks of classes then go home but i'd be bored at home with not much to do so i chose to take some summer classes and live in the dorms at a school right on the beach, so it beats living at home. I remember last summer i took classes all summer at a cc while living at home, wish i could afford to go on a vacation around the world in the summer like some people.

I actually wish my school offered the condensed courses like some do. At Pitt, our business classes in the summer are just as long as they are during the Fall/Spring semester.

Not a big deal, but I was at home/school until early June before I moved for my summer position and wanted to take a class. Oh well.
