who else agrees? gahh procrastinating right now..

I have to disagree and say I love writing essays. =)

want to write mine for me then?

ill give you mine when i need to do em

This is how I write an essay

1) scattered points I plan to make in my essay
2) rough outline
3) slightly less rough outline
4) refined outline
5) unnecessary outline
6) more outline procrastination
7) surf web until 3am
8) half-@$$ something in 20min.

i cant stand writing essays i am so bad at them and procrastinate wayyyyy to muchhh and never write it till the last moment

I love writing, but school ruins it for me.

I'm doing four questions on a movie right now and I'm kinda ticked off. The page requirement is two full pages but the questions can be answered in one or two sentences. I'm basically repeating the same thing over and over. It's a good thing she doesn't really read these, and only checks to make sure it's two pages

I write research essays for fun in my free time. Last summer, I borrowed like twenty books on Shino-Soviet relations during the cold war and wrote a fifty page essay outlining the history and political relations of the two nations. I've never felt more accomplished after finishing the paper. I mainly felt like I needed to write it, though. I've always had to write some paper for some AP over summer that it just didn't feel right not writing.

^ isn't it spelled "Sino-"?

I LOVE writing

but certain essay prompts make me so nervous

when I write them I sound like a 7 year old in Remedial English

like when it comes to Literature, the essays are always so lame, like "Relate this to that?" "What does this represent?"

So I end up writing lame essays

However, when I'm passionate about an essay (like college and scholarship essays)

it's really easy for me!

Yeah, sorry. It's been a long day.

I agree so much...............................
I'm currently writing a 4000 word essay for IB

that sucks

4,000 word?

on what?

I wrote an essay on how essays are the bane off my existance followed by one on hypocracy and both were good perhaps ironically

That’s really helpful. No lie. I’m going to start spending more time writing my outline(s) rather than thinking about it on the spot.

Agree 100%. I’m trying to let it not anymore though.

I actually like writing. Even though I get tired and overwhelmed by the process, it’s fun exploring ideas while writing your essay and looking at the finished product when you’re done with the essay. It’s one of the reasons why English is my favorite subject.

I love to write. I tend to use way too much “fluff” but whatever, teachers like it :). Usually once I figure out what point I want to make in the essay I can bang it out in an hour or so, depending on it’s length. Although I’m going to major in ChemE, or some type if Engineering, I sort of want to try and double major with an English-related major as well.

My teachers dont like “fluff.”
