So what happened was I put Calc 2 IP for Summer on my app because it was a prereq for a few other schools I was trying to get into. But I’m going to UCSC instead, and Calc 2 is not a prereq for this school. I don’t need this as a prereq or even to fulfill any GE’s but, I’m wondering if I need to take it purely for the fact that I listed it as “planned.” Because one of the provisional contract rules was that I promised to take and pass all the classes that I said I was going to.
I had a few thoughts, but the main one being… maybe the fact that I listed that I would be taking that course is one of the reasons I was accepted? Because it is an upper division course I need for my major, maybe they saw that as I was getting a head start.
I called my community college representative because I couldn’t get ahold of a UCSC admissions person, and she said that she thinks because I fulfilled my prereqs, that not taking the class shouldn’t affect my admissions.
I’ve already sent an official form to ask them, but that could take a few weeks to a month… so, any thoughts? [-O<
