I had listed Calc 2 IP for Summer 2016 because it was a prereq for other schools I applied to. But now I’m going to UCSC, and it is not a prereq or a course that I need to be admitted. Do you think I would still have to take the course simply because I listed it as “planned?” Y’know, because of their provisional contracts and all.
My logic was that, well Summer courses they say can’t be used to complete any prereqs (or anything required to get into the school basically) but that you can take courses in the summer to further your own education or get a head start as you’d please. I don’t know, I felt like they were saying that you can just take summer classes if you want to but it’s not necessary?
My rep said that I do need Calc 2 for my major eventually (as an upper div probably) but I do not need it to be admitted. She said she THINKS that since I passed all my classes and prereqs, I shouldn’t need the class. But I still have to submit the form and wait for them to get back to me. In the meantime, any thoughts anybody? :-SS
