I am a second year student now at my university, but I am freaking out by the fact that I have a 2.5 gpa at this point. It took me this long to realize that the college I am currently attending is not the best fit for me as I feel like I am not learning anything that is useful for my major or learning it properly with the ways the professors go about teaching here. I was thinking about transferring to maybe liberal arts colleges as I find the smaller community and closer student to faculty interactions my calling. I was thinking about transferring to schools like Swarthmore, but I don’t know if my gpa of a 2.5 is good enough to get in. Any advice or chances for me to get into schools like this?
A 2.5 GPA will not get you into any selective colleges like Swarthmore. You may be blaming your current college for problems you have. Have you visited the student counseling center at your current college?
