Ok, so i really want to just get my applications out of the way so i was wondering if i can submit my completed apps early and then send more tests scores in later? Like for example, I'm applying to University of Washington and their deadline is Dec. 15. Starting tomorrow, you can submit your application. Luckily, i began mine over the summer so i am pretty much done with it. The only problem is is that i don't like my SAT and ACT scores because i got a 1600. I'm going to retake it OCT. 9. Would it be bad if i just put my scores that i have so far down? Will i be at any disadvantage? Or would it be ok? Another reason why i'm submitting my app early is because i want to be considered for financial aid, and the earlier the better. Thanks.

You have to check with the school aand ask for their score/gpa update policy.

Yes, you can send the app early and October score later and it will be considered. They don’t go by scores you put on app but instead official scores sent by testing agency. Starting this year, UW is ceasing a rolling admission process (where it started sending out decisions in early December and then continued to do so through March) and going to reviewing applications after the deadline date and then notifying all in March. Thus if you submit application now and test scores from October test when scores come out, you file won’t even be reviewed for admission until after those scores are received and they will be considered. Also, your file will not be reviewed for admission until it is “complete” meaning all required things are in. Required is an official test score sent by the testing agency (SAT or ACT). Thus if you send app now but don’t order any offical test scores sent until after October test, it is guaranteed your file will not be reviewed for admission until after the offical test score is received.
