I took the SAT three times already, and now I'm considering to take the ACT. Will a lower ACT score hurt me? And the schools I'm applying to require all scores, so I can't really "hide" my ACT score if I do poorly on the test. If my ACT comes out lower than my SAT score (and I'm talking about maybe 100 point gap), would that hurt me? Or would the colleges only look at my SAT score?

It should not hurt you if the college only considers the highest score. However, if you have already taken the SAT three times, what would you gain my taking the ACT? Assuming you are satisfied with your SAT score, you really don’t need to take the ACT.
