Hi guys I have couple questions for the current GT students.

I am currantly attending Georgia State University. I have 3.5 GPA and i am planing on going to Tech Fall 08. I would like to know if it is possible to have full time job and go to Georgia Tech Full time? I have read that Calc and Physics in Tech are hard but i will take that in Georgia State University. I plan on majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I will take all the classes i can in GA State University and than transfer to Georgia Tech to take Engineering Classes. I have a job now that i really like and i dont want to quit. Is it possible to go to school full time (12 credit hrs) and work full time 32-40hrs a week. I heard about coop thing and i might be interested in that but i would like to keep this job since i am already a supervisor. Thanks for your time

well I am undergrad EE student at georgia tech and you probably have to start most of your classes from scratch. I think calculus you can get credit from tech but physics you probably have to take it again since it wasn't calculus base physics. It is possible to take freshman and sophomore along with another job but most of those classes probably interfer with your full time job hours. You should develop strong study habit and willing to do work. But aerospace engineer is hard major it's ranked 2nd in georgia tech and it require alot of time and effort to get that degree. You probably have to quit your job during junior and senior year and live in library for 2 years to get through those semesters. I seriously in doubt that you can get degree in georgia tech with full time job but I hope you best of luck.

How hard is it to transfer to Georgia Tech? I know if you have more than 30 credits you dont need to send them your high school transcript or SAT scores. So what kind of College GPA do you need?

Minimum GPA
Based on the US 4.0 GPA system, the minimum GPA requirement for most majors is 2.7 for Georgia residents, 3.0 for non-Georgia US residents, and 3.5 for international students. Because admission to Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science is highly competitive, applicants to these programs must have a GPA of at least 3.0 for Georgia residents, 3.5 for non-Georgia US residents, and 3.8 for international students. The GPA requirement applies to both the overall GPA (all courses taken at all schools) and the GPA of an applicant's math and science courses. Further, all applicants must be in good standing during the last term of enrollment at their prior institutions
