I have something that bothers me terribly

Well, right now I'm a Junior. I go to a private High School in California with about 200 students in my graduating class. But the thing is, my class is very different from other classes in that my graduating class has about 25 students with almost straight A's and good ECs. I hear that colleges especially UC's only take 3-5 students per grade...

I am a student with 3.4 unweighted and 4.1 weighted GPA. I am enrolled in the IB program at my school and have taken honors/AP classes from my freshman year. My grades as a Junior are all A's except AP spanish.

HOWEVER, I messed up in my sophomore year. I received a C+ in my Honors algebra 2 trig class...and now i have this feeling in the back of my head that its going to hold me back from getting into the places I want to go (ideally UCLA, UC Berkley, or Stanford)

I havn't taken my SAT's yet but Im aiming for over 2000, and Im taking my Math iic and bio subject exams in 2 weeks..

Well, anyway what I'm wondering is if i'm screwed because of my Sophomore year, or do I have in anyway a remote chance?

One grade won't kill you. Seriously. And if that's your weighted GPA, you're fine. Really.

zorro, my sophomore year was bad too. like, REALLY BAD. but i dont think it will have too much bearing. if your junior year is good (which it looks like it is) i think youll be good!!
