I haven't heard anything yet.

Have most people received their notifications already? I feel like I'm the only one. Is that bad (I'm a transfer from a CC)?
Also, is the SIR due May 1 for transfer students too?

They only started handing out acceptances for Transfers on March 15th, AFAIK, and it’s kind of random who they pick to notify now vs. the next batch of notifications (I think the next batch is tomorrow? Not sure…). They run through April, so it’s still a bit early to get worried. I believe the May 1 SIR due date applies for transfers too.

If you’re TAG-ing from a CCC, and your IGETC can be certified, then there isn’t anything to worry about, you’re in.

yeah deadline is march 1st. ill cross my fingers for ya

Just checking on the UC Transfers forum, I think the deadline for SIR is actually June 1st for transfers. Whoops!

ill go check my portal and make sure i thoguth it said may.

the SIR deadline is june 1st for transfers

thanks everyone who replied
im relieved the SIR deadline is later, because what if I only find out about all my schools like the very end of May and then I only have a day to make a decision?
So far I’ve gotten into UCR and Santa Cruz. UCR is my backup for SD. I’ll probably end up going there. Anyone else in my boat (Most likely going to UCR in the fall)?

One more thing. How do you guys know when the next batch for notifications is? Is there a list somewhere or what? Knowing would really ease my mind, I hate having mini heart attacks multiple times a day when I check tritonlink and my email.

go to UCSC^! im kinda sad that i wont be attending there… got in but i am set for SD. SC is so tight tho and the campus is so GD beautiful

@enchantedivy: I don’t know for sure when the next batch is unfortunately. I was quoting from other posters on other threads, so my info is chock full of hearsay and probably wrong.

Dude I agree with ajdavidson07. I would choose Santa Cruz over Riverside. Santa Cruz is sweet. The campus and location is awesome. I wish they had my major

I got in like two weeks ago but i also have a big worry about my admission. Im an Illinois high school student and in my state, fine arts courses arent a requirement at all. I practically had plastic surgery done on my senior schedule to get it to include two fine arts classes (A-G requirement) in one semester. I applied to UCSD when i was in those two classes but i dropped one after like 3 weeks ( thus not satisfying one consecutive year of fine arts). I let them know that i dropped photography after I was admitted but received a general thank you email. IS MY ADMISSION GONNA GET NULLIFIED?!?!?!

@norris212 and ajdavidson07 i considered ucsc as my top choice for a while, but i decided i dont want to move so far away from where i am now (i live like 45 min south of Riverside). Idk, I’ve never lived on my own before and I’m an only child . . . I feel like moving out by itself is a huge change already, I don’t think I can live that far from my family. Also, I like more of an urban setting. I think SC is a bit too isolated for me . . . but thanks for the suggestions :)
