I called them earlier this week about FSH and scholarships, but all the guy said was "if you get a scholarship, we'll let you know." He also said that there are plenty of scholarships available besides Presidential and Trustee, and that my financial aid hasn't been decided.

Judging from what I've been hearing in other threads, the top 18% of the applicants get a merit scholarship, but I'm not 100% sure.

wait, so
all the presidential and trustee scholarships have been sent out?
so no hope for me to get presidential and trustee?

I guess so...the counselor guy talked in loopholes and stuff. According to other threads, the letters for interviews have all been sent out, but according to the USC application packet, they have up to April 1st to notify you, so I don't know what to say.

I guess we FSH kids just have to sit and wait.

yeah pretty much.
they were sent out in january/ VERRRY beginning of february.

really? damn
what's wrong with us FSH kids?
last year, my friend got his acceptance letter in march, but he also had an interview for scholarship later..

hm?

yeah it seems like they're doing things way differently this year.

but heck i don't really know anything...
and, as you said, FSH could be a different case.

Let's hope it is. Wouldn't it be amazing if all FSH students get full scholarships this year? =P

for your sake.... YES! that would be : )

i think all the french-canadian should get full scholarships... wait, maybe that's just me though.

Oh man. I got a letter from USC today, and I got so excited. Too bad it wasn't a scholarship. It was an invitation to Thematic Option. So I got invited to Freshman Science Honors and Thematic Option. -_- I'd rather get a scholarship.

*** is thematic option? lol

Apparently it's like English Honors, except college style. Sounds pretty difficult.

Man, I've been invited for Trustee, but I haven't received one of the TO invites, and I really want one. Maybe it's because I got 700 on writing (8 for the essay, ouch), but I don't think that reflects my writing ability. I might have to fight my way into that freaking program.

...I'll trade places with you. How about you take my TO invite and Dean's Scholarship, and I'll take your Trustee Interview. Okay? okay. : )

I'll pay you for that trustee interview!!

Hahaha I got a 6 on my essay, both times. I still got a TO invite.

I got an 11 on my essay both times, and no merit anything. What were your grades/test scores to get these merit scholarships/invites?

my friends received letters saying that they do not qualify for merit scholarships.

well, i haven't received that letter. phew,

but why is my mailbox so empty?!
i want schhhhhhoooolaaaarrrrrsssshhhhiiiippp!

Most of the posts on this thread are from scholarship candidates.

As for the honors invitations, I'm not sure what everyone else's stats are, but I can assure you that mine are far from spectacular.
