i heard there are decisions this friday?

Phew! I was afraid to click on the link.

I guess my source might not have been accurate

If trends hold true as they have for the past 3 years, there will be a wave between march 14-18. :)

Sparrowo3o I can’t explain to you how intensely I want your to be corre

Sorry guys, oversensitive iPhone … What i was saying is that i want your STATEMENT to be true with utmost intensity… I was completely heart broken when i did not hear in the first wave of decisions, hopefully the second wave will bring us all some luck.

Haha, it’s fine. My cellphone does dumb things too when I’m trying to post online - like putting random phrases after numbers. I really want to be right too and I think I must be … I looked until 2013 decisions here and the march 14-18 trend has remained true. I also wonder if the leap year we had will make the next wave occur on the 13th too. I REALLY hope the next wave will bring those who haven’t heard and those who were deferred some happiness. I was deferred in february, but since then I got straight a’s in my midyear report with 6 APs and one honors class. I also got a 31 Comp. on the ACT, which is much better than the 1880 I had before with the SAT. I hope that my stats, 3.94 UW/5.0 W and a 31 ACT score with legacy will get me accepted, even though I’m OOS. :/

Everytime I get on WA or check my email with a new email, I get nervous.

sparrow idk why you werent accepted in the first place! i hope you get in, you have great stats!

We Indians are disadvantaged in these matters as there is no AP in India plus our courses are so tough that you can’t imagine… I am studying Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy and Differential Calculus in the twelfth standard.

They take that into account indamaverick.

Aw, thanks Lindsy, I appreciate your input. :3 my SAT score was no good before. I hope things are more in my favor now.

And one would hope that those sorts of things are taken into account!

I hope the decisions will be sent in the regular mail…I do not know what my MichID is…

They give email, mail, and it’s on WA. You’ll get it :)

if no AP/IB classes are available they do not hold that against you, they also take into account the rigor of the classes you are taking at the school you are at. they told us all this at a visit, so no worries!

Thats pretty reassuring. Thanks.

So does China! We do not use English to give classes and maybe our courses is one of the most difficult in the world especially in science!

Uh…I knew I got mistakes in grammar…

Physyclei : It may well be so. All I am saying is that there are no APs and one needs to study about 6 to 8 hours everyday to maintain a good percentage. Add to that the pressure of studying for the SATs, the syllabus of which is very different from our regular course.
But I am guessing that the same applies to China, so there is no use whining about it.

Wait, they send an email with the decision? What’s the point of having it on Wolverine Access if you could jsut read the email?

It’s mostly for financial aid stufff and managing your application. The view decision link is merely an accessory.

Not to be a jerk, but it makes perfect sense that the U.S. college admission process is harder for kids from foreign countries. The U.S. public educational system is structured to cater towards U.S. universities. I imagine the Indian educational system is structured for Indian universities.
