I applied to 4 UCs. UCD UCB UCLA and UCSD. UCD may be the weakest in my UCs list. I know that UC share they applicants’ profile so maybe Daivs thinks I chose it as a safety school and did not show enough interest in it (physics major). So it just waitlisted me and asked me why Davis. Am I right? Lol

The application you sent in for the UC’s was the same thing for all the campuses. If it was true that you didn’t show enough interest in UC Davis (and by logic all the other UC’s and perhaps going to college itself), then admission into the other campuses isn’t likely.

Choosing a Physics major in and of itself does not indicate that you aren’t interested in UC Davis, especially with your 800 Physics SAT II. They would have assumed you had a passion for Physics.

Don’t worry though. If you did show how driven you are to go to college and to reach success, you still have a chance at the other campuses. I wouldn’t worry about the waitlist. All the campuses operate and admit students independently, without knowing the criteria the other campuses are looking for.

Just calm down. Spamming this forum with new threads won’t really help.

Thank you.
